EMDR- Lifespan Integration:

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an information processing therapy developed by Francine Shapiro, Ph.D. It is used to reduce symptoms associated with trauma and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Dr. Polson has used EMDR successfully with her patients who have experienced rape, violence, accidents, or medical traumas.

Lifespan Integration (LI) is another newer form of information processing therapy. It was developed by Peggy Pace, LMFT, to promote rapid healing in adults who experienced abuse or neglect during childhood. This gentle method works by increasing neural plasticity, which allows old neural networks to reorganize and new more adaptive networks to be formed resulting in a decrease in symptoms, and an increase in positive feelings. It is very effective for relieving symptoms associated with panic, attachment disorder, and depression.
